Beach Volleyball is usually played by two teams of two players but it can be played by more; The server stands at the back of the court and can serve either over- or under-arm into the opponent’s side of the court; The opposing team is allowed a maximum of three touches on their side of the court before they must send the ball back over the net; The ball must be hit – not caught
The UKBT calendar consists of over 70 beach volleyball events which are held throughout the UK. Each tournament is categorised to target athletes of different ability. For example, 1- & 2-star events engage with entry-level players, 3- & 4-star events are aimed at the more experienced players and the Grand Slam Series is for the country’s elite. Events are run in a variety of locations, including Bournemouth, Bridlington, Brighton, Cardiff, Croydon, London, and Oxford.
